Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no sign-up, no login and no user profile. We do not collect your name, email address, location, device identifiers, contacts, photos or any record of what you look up.

We have no server. There is nowhere for your information to be sent, because no such system exists.

What stays on your device

Some things are saved so the app is useful between sessions. All of it stays on your device and none of it is transmitted anywhere:

• Notes you write in the scratchpad
• Cases you mark as favourites, and the ones you looked at recently
• Your text size and night mode settings
• A record that you read and acknowledged the app's disclaimer
• Your field sobriety clue tallies, while you are using that tool

Deleting the app deletes all of it. We never see any of it, and we cannot recover it for you.

Network use

The legal content is bundled with the app and works with no connection. The app makes only two kinds of network request:

• To Apple, to confirm whether your subscription is current. That exchange is between your device and Apple. We receive no personal information from it.
• To our content file, to check whether a legal correction has been published. This is a request for a static file. It sends no information about you, and we keep no log that could identify you from it.

Both are optional to the app's operation. It works normally when neither succeeds.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, card number or billing address. Apple provides us only with anonymous, aggregated sales reporting — totals, not people. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Agency editions

Editions licensed to a law enforcement agency are activated with a product key rather than a subscription. Those builds generate a device identifier derived from the device itself, used solely to match a licence to a handset. It is not tied to your name and is not transmitted to us; licences are issued from information the agency provides directly.

Where an agency edition distributes ops plans or maps, those files are fetched from a location the agency controls. What that agency logs about those requests is governed by that agency's own policy, not this one.

Children

This app is intended for law enforcement professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children, which follows from not collecting information from anyone.

Third parties

The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, no crash reporting service and no tracking software of any kind. No data is sold or shared, because none is collected.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the effective date above.
